We are a two-form entry, oversubscribed infant school at the heart of Copthorne Village and can offer you a new and exciting challenge in our happy school within our genuinely supportive team.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Take responsibility for a class
• Undertake subject leadership responsibilities (an interest in leading Literacy or Science would be an advantage but not essential)
• Have a positive attitude and genuine love of teaching and learning
• Have the ability to motivate, inspire and challenge our young children to achieve their full potential
• Demonstrate excellent ability in the classroom
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
• Have a good understanding of how young children learn effectively
• Have excellent interpersonal skills showing an ability to work closely and professionally with colleagues as part of a team
• Have an excellent knowledge of teaching the EYFS and/or KS1 curriculum including early reading, phonics and maths
• Have high expectations for every child, every day
• Demonstrate inclusive methods and approaches to support all learners
• Be organised and motivated
