Looking for a rewarding role where you'll make a genuine difference every single day?Reed Education are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Pontefract area who are seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who enjoys working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and wants to become an integral part of a thriving school community.

The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2, helping to create engaging learning experiences and ensuring all children can access the curriculum effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
- Working with small groups and individual pupils
- Providing targeted interventions where required
- Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and development
- Contributing positively to the wider school environment
We're keen to hear from Teaching Assistants who are:
- Experienced working within a primary school setting
- Confident supporting children across KS1 and KS2
- Passionate about helping children succeed both academically and socially
- Proactive, adaptable and able to use their own initiative
- Strong communicators who build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to making a difference
Whether you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant within a primary setting, we'd love to hear from you.
