Due to continued growth and expansion, Sheehy Motor Group has an immediate opening for an "Experienced Parts Advisor". The successful candidate must have a proven track record in a main dealer with in-depth experience of all aspects of a Parts Advisor role. This is a full-time permanent position based in Naas.
Job PurposeAs an experienced parts advisor, you will play a key role in the day to day operation of the Parts Department. You will provide expert advice on vehicle parts and accessories, support both retail and trade customers, and ensure technicians receive the correct parts promptly to maximise workshop efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Assist customers and service technicians with parts identification and enquiries.
- Accurately source, order and supply genuine manufacturer parts and accessories.
- Process customer orders, invoices and payments using the dealership management system.
- Maintain accurate stock levels through stock control, inventory management and regular stock takes.
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers regarding parts availability and deliveries.
- Ensure all parts are correctly stored, labelled and handled in accordance with company procedures.
- Promote the sale of genuine parts and accessories to maximise department profitability.
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers by providing professional, efficient and friendly service.
- Work closely with the Service Department to ensure vehicles are repaired on schedule.
- Ensure the parts department is clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a motor industry Parts Advisor role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good IT and administration skills; experience with Kerridge/ADP or similar dealer management systems is an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritise multiple tasks.
- Full clean driving licence preferred.
