Experienced Conveyancer - Central Title & Due Diligence Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced conveyancer into a central, firm wide role designed to support and strengthen our conveyancing department across the whole business.
This is a non client facing position, focused on technical excellence, consistency, and quality at the earliest stage of the transaction. The role plays a key part in enhancing the client experience by ensuring that title issues and lender requirements are identified, assessed, and clearly communicated from day one.
You will work closely with fee earners across the firm, providing early legal insight and practical guidance to support efficient file progression and risk management.

- Undertaking title due diligence at the outset of conveyancing matters
- Preparing preliminary "day one" title reports to identify key legal and title issues early
- Producing clear, structured notes to conveyancing colleagues highlighting:
- Title issues to be addressed
- Key risks or complexities
- Matters requiring focused enquiries
- Relevant lender specific requirements
- Working collaboratively with a team of three Property Support Lawyers to support fee earners with technical input when raising and reviewing enquiries
- Helping drive consistency of approach across the conveyancing team
- Using AI assisted tools and digital systems to support title review, issue spotting, and reporting
- Significant experience in residential conveyancing (essential)
- Strong technical knowledge of freehold and leasehold title issues
- Comfortable interpreting titles, plans, leases, restrictions, covenants, easements, and lender requirements
- Able to identify legal risk early and explain issues clearly and practically to colleagues
- Detail oriented, organised, and confident working independently
- Interested in using technology and AI assisted tools to improve quality and efficiency
This role would suit an experienced conveyancer who enjoys the technical side of the law, prefers a non client facing position, and wants to play a strategic role in improving outcomes across a busy conveyancing department.
