About the RoleTeacherActive is proud to be supporting a forward-thinking and well-organised College seeking a dedicated Exam Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure during busy exam periods. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-focused Examinations Officer to manage all aspects of examination administration within our organisation. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient running of internal and external examinations, maintaining compliance with awarding body regulations and supporting students throughout the examination process.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage the full examinations process, including entries, timetables, invigilation, rooming, and results.
Act as the main point of contact for all awarding bodies and ensure compliance with JCQ and exam board regulations.
Prepare and submit examination entries accurately and on time.
Recruit, train, and manage exam invigilators.
Organise secure receipt, storage, and dispatch of examination materials.
Oversee special arrangements for students with access requirements, liaising with SEN teams as necessary.
Provide clear communication to staff, students, and parents regarding exam procedures, timetables, and results.
Manage the distribution of results and coordinate post-results services (e.g., reviews of marking, appeals).
Maintain accurate records and contribute to data analysis as required.
Person SpecificationExcellent organisation and administrative skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Confident using data management systems and Microsoft Office software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Previous experience in an examinations or data management role.
Knowledge of JCQ regulations and exam board processes.
Experience working in a school, college, or similar educational environment.
