We're working with a specialist SEND school looking for dedicated individuals from Armed Forces backgrounds to support children and young people with additional needs. No teaching qualifications required. Just the right attitude and a willingness to make a difference.
Why ex-military personnel excel in SEND schoolsThe young people you'll support need structure, consistency and positive role models. They need adults who don't give up when things get tough. Sound familiar? Many of our most successful SEND Teaching Assistants have come from military backgrounds because they know how to:

- Support others to achieve their potential
You will support pupils with a range of needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Learning Difficulties
- Complex and additional needs
Working alongside teachers and specialist staff, you'll help create a safe, structured and supportive environment where pupils can learn, develop and succeed.
What you'll be doing- Supporting pupils in the classroom
- Working 1:1 and with small groups
- Building positive relationships
- Encouraging confidence and independence
- Supporting learning and personal development
- Celebrating progress every step of the way
- Military experience, Armed Forces, Reservists or Veterans
- Strong communication skills
- A calm and resilient approach
- Positive role model qualities
- A genuine desire to support young people
Previous school experience isn't essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
