About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced contractor/consultant/freelancer to serve as an Event Delivery Director for a 9-month period. The role involves leading the delivery of the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit 2026, a premier event with 3,000 attendees, 130 sponsoring organisations, and 300 speakers. The position is pivotal in ensuring seamless execution as the event transitions to The Station in Berlin.
Reporting to the Director of Business and Planning Operations, the ideal candidate will be an accomplished project manager with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, deep knowledge of event production, AV requirements, and experiential execution. The key capability is managing and delivering complex, large-scale conferences, especially those with integrated conference-exhibition formats and floorplan-driven exhibitions. Strong vendor negotiation skills are essential for cost-effective, high-quality delivery. While not directly managing staff, success depends on effective cross-functional collaboration and influencing senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Event & Experiential Execution
- Lead end-to-end planning and logistics for a flagship conference-exhibition event with 3,000+ attendees, aligning with commercial goals, brand standards, and audience expectations.
- Translate strategic objectives into detailed operational plans, balancing oversight with hands-on delivery.
- Collaborate with creative agencies to deliver experiential and design visions within budget and logistical constraints.
- Oversee branded environments, activations, and interactive elements to ensure a seamless attendee experience.
- Integrate production, AV, and logistical components into a unified event plan.
