Job Description

Reporting directly to the Catering Manager, the Deputy Dining Hall Supervisor will share the responsibility for the efficient operation of the catering department.
Assist the Evening Dining Hall Supervisor in the leadership, development and motivation of a team of 8 and all their training and development needs.
Maintain and develop excellent standards.
Assist in ensuring the Dining hall's food quality and cleanliness.
In the absence of the Dining Hall Supervisor, organise and prioritise the workload and work calmly under pressure.
Control portion sizes and minimise wastage.
Day to day liaison with school staff.
Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Ensure compliance with the school's safer recruitment and safeguarding policies.
Perform other reasonable duties expected of a senior role.

Remuneration and Hours

Monday - Friday 4 pm - 8 pm, every other Saturday plus 12 Sundays per year on a rota basis. 44 week contract.
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £18,505.52
