Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time Permanent

Apple Recruitment is working on behalf of our client, a progressive and growing fit-out and construction company, to recruit an enthusiastic and detail-focused Estimator. This role is ideal for someone with 3-4 years' post-graduate experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive, forward-thinking organisation.

About the Role

Working closely with the commercial and project delivery teams, the Estimator will play a key role in the successful pricing and delivery of fit-out and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
2. Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors
3. Conducting site visits to assess conditions and gather relevant data
4. Sourcing, reviewing, and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations
5. Producing detailed take-offs, cost plans, and pricing documents
6. Identifying project risks, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities
7. Assisting with bid preparation, tender submissions, and client presentations
8. Keeping up to date with industry trends, pricing, and construction methodologies
9. Collaborating with project management and operations teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project delivery

Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-4 years' post-graduate experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor
• Strong knowledge of estimating, cost management, and contract administration
• Experience using industry-standard software such as Evaluate and Procore
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
