Location: Nottingham or Leicester (Hybrid)

This is a *Nottingham or Leicester* Hybrid based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisation working on *Conducting and managing building asset condition surveys across a large property portfolio.*

We are looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor to support the delivery of a large-scale property asset management and life cycle works programme across a diverse estate spanning offices, customer-facing locations, and operational facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with experience in public sector estates, commercial property, facilities management, or construction projects who wants to play a key role in improving building performance, sustainability, compliance, and long-term asset value.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the asset surveying process, assessing building condition, developing life cycle maintenance plans, and helping prioritise future investment across a large multi-site estate. Working closely with asset managers, facilities teams, contractors, and project delivery teams, you will provide technical expertise that supports strategic property decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage building asset condition surveys across a large property portfolio.
- Develop life cycle maintenance plans and investment programmes.
- Review survey reports, asset data, and maintenance requirements.
- Produce scopes of work, project specifications, and budget estimates.
- Support capital works and refurbishment programmes.
- Monitor asset performance and identify risks, failures, and improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with facilities management providers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Support sustainability, compliance, and Net Zero objectives.
- Contribute to long-term estate and asset management strategies.
What We re Looking For
- Significant experience in asset condition surveying within large commercial, public sector, or multi-site estates.
- Strong knowledge of building fabric, M&E assets, life cycle management, and maintenance planning.
- Experience developing project scopes, cost estimates, and life cycle works programmes.
- Understanding of construction project delivery and contractor management.
- Knowledge of relevant property, compliance, and building standards.
- Ability to analyse asset data and translate findings into practical investment plans.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and project coordination skills.
- Experience using asset management, property, or facilities management systems would be advantageous.
Location
Nottingham or Leicester (hybrid working) with travel across a regional portfolio.
