This work is delivered at NSG's own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles.

NSG is seeking a ESH&Q Project Services Manager to oversee the newly formed ESH&Q Project Services Function. The role will offer career development opportunities as well as developing the existing team in supporting NSG delivery teams operating across our UK Projects.
The RoleTo lead and develop a team of professionals and support staff to provide subject matter expertise across NSG Projects in the UK.
To foster and maintain the 'NSG Feel' and instil positive ESH&Q values across the project delivery programmes.
To embed a culture of continuous, sustained improvement.
To develop, support and implement strategies for ESH&Q activities in line with statutory requirements, industry standards and company policy whilst ensuring programme deliverables are completed safely, compliantly and to the appropriate quality.
To promote a project support ethos for ESH&Q Project Services Team to ensure pragmatic solutions are applied to project activities within ALARP and BAT principles.
Key Objectives- Drive the objectives set out in the ESH&Q Functional Strategy that align with the Project Services function and ensure NSG's Strategic goals remain in focus.
- Manage and support technical development and production of ESH&Q documentation for various construction, decommissioning and waste management projects.
- Ensuring technical ESH&Q input to the project teams is provided adequately.
- Lead and monitor continuous improvement of ESH&Q performance on projects.
- Assess project compliance with customer contract and process requirements.
- Coach, mentor and advise colleagues on compliance requirements.
- Drive cultural improvement on projects by building effective relationships with the project teams and supply chain partners.
- Liaise with project personnel to promote a culture of ESH&Q awareness.
- Ensure workplace inspections and internal audits (health checks) are planned and findings are actioned and LFE actively captured.
- Support audit activities and ensure timely close out of findings and actions.
- Report findings and trends to the leadership team as appropriate.
- Undertake, support and review adverse event investigations.
- Ensure ESH&Q representation at contract and project KO meetings.
- Manage input to Learning Workshops (Toolbox Talks).
- Ensure Project Quality and Programme Management Plans are in place, utilised and understood by the Project Management Team.
- NEBOSH Construction / General Certificate
- Degree in a relevant subject area would be desirable
- Project Management
- CSCS Card / SMSTS
- Minimum 5 years' experience undertaking a management role in a nuclear regulated environment.
- Experience of working in a project delivery environment within the nuclear industry.
- Management experience / commercial awareness.
- CDM knowledge and experience of working in a construction environment.
- Experience of preparing and presenting management information and reports.
- Knowledge of Safety Case requirements.
- Used to dealing with confidential and commercial information.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System operating procedures and requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
- Knowledge of relevant statutory instruments.
