ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Most systems roles give you one piece of the puzzle. This one gives you all of it. An established manufacturer in Dudley, now part of a European group, needs a Business Systems Specialist to oversee its SAP ERP system and the warehouse, E-commerce, route planning and CRM systems that integrate with it.
You will sit in Finance and report to the Financial Controller but you will work with every department, the group systems team, third-party SAP consultants and an IT managed service provider. Your first three months are about learning how everything fits together. After that, you set the priorities and the roadmap.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Oversee the ERP and its integration with the warehouse, E-commerce, route planning and CRM systems as part of day-to-day operations
• Be the first point of contact and escalation for users, managing third-party consultants and vendors through to resolution
• Proactively lead improvements to the systems across the business, working with all relevant stakeholders
• Understand the SAP reporting capability and help investigate and improve reports with the group team and consultants
• Work with the IT managed service provider on infrastructure and user support
• Lead practical projects including warehouse system improvements, stock take, scanners and barcode picking

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Hands-on SAP experience in a manufacturing business
• Experience of building, fixing or improving ERP reports
• Experience of managing how an ERP integrates with other systems such as a WMS, E-commerce or CRM
• Experience of working with external vendors, consultants or an IT support provider
• Able to work on site in Dudley full time during probation
