Your workplace will primarily be the Town Hall in Long Eaton, with travel to other sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess building regulation applications and conduct site inspections
• Support safe, sustainable, and compliant developments across Erewash, Broxtowe, Mansfield, and Ashfield
• Assist with demolition licensing and dangerous structures response
• Mentor Assistant Building Control Officers and support professional development
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency standby rotations

Qualifications:

• Degree in Building Surveying or HNC/HND in construction with experience as a qualified Building Surveyor
• Membership or working towards membership of CABE, CIOB, or RICS
• Willingness to achieve LABC Level 6 Competency
• Understanding of the Building Act 1984 and Building Regulations
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to high service standards
