Job DescriptionTalan Consulting UK is seeking a highly motivated IT Front Office (FO) Support Analyst to join our Investment Banking partner within their Global Markets team. This role involves providing critical support for front-office trading desks, including:
Index Flow
Emerging Markets
Commodities
Equity Financing
Flow Sales
The successful candidate will work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, supporting proprietary trading, booking, and pricing platforms (both manual and automated), ensuring optimal market connectivity and system performance.
QualificationsKey Responsibilities
Configure and maintain front-office trading applications, including:
Real-time system settings
Market data parameter configuration
Market access performance tuning
Computation setup for pricing/trading engines
Oversee electronic execution matching, deployment of new releases, and bug tracking.
Act as a bridge between trading desks and development teams, managing feature requests and system enhancements.
Provide proactive front-office support, ensuring minimal downtime and fast resolution of issues.
Required Skills & Experience
Python scripting (essential) - ability to write and maintain scripts for automation and diagnostics.
Additional programming knowledge (e.g., Perl, PHP, Visual Basic, Unix Shell Scripts, C#, Java).
Strong communication skills - ability to interact effectively with front-office stakeholders.
Thrives under pressure in a front-office environment.
Team-oriented yet capable of working autonomously.
Knowledge of financial markets and derivative products (equities and commodities).
