Environmental Scientist

Overview

Well-established multidisciplinary environmental consultancy is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join their growing team in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role within a high-performing team, supporting the delivery of complex environmental and planning projects across Ireland. The successful candidate will gain strong exposure to project leadership, client management and business development, working closely with senior leadership on a wide range of technically challenging projects.

Projects

• Large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy developments
• Industrial and commercial projects
• Residential and mixed-use developments
• Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) from concept through to construction
• Multidisciplinary environmental and planning projects
• Projects involving coordination across ecology, hydrology, noise, air quality and traffic

Role

• Manage projects from inception through to completion, including programme and financial oversight
• Prepare and review Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) and related documentation
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across environmental disciplines
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies throughout project lifecycles
• Oversee and mentor junior team members and sub-consultants
• Support and drive business development activities, including identifying opportunities and winning new work

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
• 3+ years' experience in environmental consultancy or similar role
• Strong experience contributing to and managing EIARs
• Broad understanding of environmental disciplines and their integration within projects
• Good knowledge of the Irish planning system and environmental legislation
• Full driving licence required

Salary

• €50,000 - €60,000 DOE + Benefits
