Environmental Consultant

Overview

RSK Geosciences, an RSK Group company, is recruiting for an Environmental Consultant to join the team based in Derby, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Geosciences team delivers consultancy and design services to a wide range of external clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies and local authorities. RSK Geosciences is part of the RSK Group, a leading integrated environmental, engineering, and technical services business. This role focuses on providing environmental advice on surface water management and environmental incidents on active construction sites, primarily in the East Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Production of environmental management plans including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites
• Auditing construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans
• Advising clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements including the preparation of permits applications and exemptions
• Liaison with regulators including the Environment Agency/National Resources Wales
• Response/management of environmental incidents including fuel/oil spillage, silt discharges, and effluent discharges

Qualifications and Experience

• This role is suited to someone with between 5 and 10 years minimum experience in the environmental sector
• Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy
• Able to work closely and confidently with clients and regulators
• A track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget
• Full UK driving licence
