Environmental Compliance Specialist

As part of the Environmental Compliance team, you will help assess compliance against activities such as water discharges, air emissions, and waste legislation. You will focus on enhancing our compliance position by analyzing site audit reports, permit assessments, and incident reviews to identify improvement actions.
Responsibilities of an Environmental Compliance Specialist- Lead environmental compliance assessments via CAS for permitted sites and activities.
- Support the development of CAS as the central repository for compliance actions.
- Ensure non-conformances from EMS site audits are properly logged in CAS.
- Work with Digital Teams to improve CAS tools using Power BI, PowerApps, and SharePoint.
- Build relationships across business units to ensure accurate compliance assessments.
- Provide compliance reports to stakeholders and present performance updates to management.
- Experience in environmental permitting or compliance.
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Experience with Power BI and Power Apps development.
- Understanding of wastewater treatment and pumping processes.
- Environmental or science-related qualification.
- Knowledge of water discharge and waste permits is desirable.
- Salary up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 26 days annual leave, increasing with service, plus bank holidays.
