We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require a Environment & Config Engineer (SC cleared) to join them on a major government project that's based in Telford.

Project Overview:

There are approximately 85,000 tax agents serving around 12 million taxpayers. Of these, an estimated 40,000 agents are currently unregistered. The Modernising, Mandating Tax Advisor Registration (MMTAR) initiative-formerly known as Improving Agent Registration (IAR)-aims to enhance HMRC's operational and technological processes for registering agents who act on behalf of clients.

Currently, agents must register separately for each digital service. This project seeks to streamline that experience by delivering a single, automated registration journey that enables agents to sign up across all tax regimes. This unified process will also incorporate risk assessment.

The initial phase, targeted for delivery in April 2026, will cover:

Computerised Environment for Self-Assessment (CESA)
Company Tax (CoTAX)
Pay As You Earn (PAYE) for employer taxes.
This role will form part of the release management team within Minerva Platform to increase the exsiting capcity to support the additonal project work.
