We're looking for a results-driven District Sales Manager with direct sales experience toOEMs, system integrators, and chemical vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background inmetering pumps, chemical feed systems, and industrial process equipment.Familiarity with chemical processing applications, dosing systems, and key industry vendors is essential.
This role focuses on developing new business and expanding accounts in the industrial and chemical sectors. Success in this role requires a strategic sales mindset, relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive sales growth through both new customer acquisition and existing account development.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and growth in accordance with core values, with a focus on industrial processing and equipment, particularly pumps
- Develop and nurture relationships within Chem Vendor customers to accelerate growth.
Identify and close new OEM/Integrators
- Develop and maintain suitable pipeline to meet territory sales goals and bring visibility of large opportunities through CRM.
Provide product/application/competition training to customers, with an emphasis on chemical processing applications and vendors.
- Internal collaboration on key accounts and projects.
- Collaborate with Regional Business Development and Marketing.
- Represent WM, Inc. at trade shows and conferences.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor and industry trends to upper management to contribute to accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Utilize CRM for all facets of territory management to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
This is what you'll need to be successful in this role
- Passion for serving others and solving problems
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in direct metering pump sales and industrial processing equipment.
- Experience selling equipment into the industrial market, including chemical processing applications and vendors
- Comfort selling to sales, engineering and technical personnel
- Excellent networking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse partners and stakeholders.
- Experience selling equipment into the industrial market, predominately water and wastewater treatment
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Ideal candidate to be located in the Eastern USA with a Travel over 50%
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills required to communicate with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high professionalism.
- Strong time management skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience using CRM and sales performance tools.
- Proficient in Windows applications and Microsoft 365 programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Physical Demands
Mobility: This is a remote position that primarily requires sitting at a desk or computer workstation for extended periods, with occasional need to stand or move around to maintain health and well-being. Ability to regularly operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
Vision and Hearing: Ability to use a computer and read documents. Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients through video conferencing tools.
Dexterity: Basic hand dexterity for typing and using computer peripherals
