ENT Consultant - Rhinology

We currently have one consultant substantive post to fill.

University Hospitals Dorset is a newly formed trust derived from Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals, partnered with Bournemouth University. The ENT department is well established with an outpatient service and outreach clinics. The role is appropriate for a consultant with a principal interest in Rhinology who will contribute to general and emergency services, teaching, audit, governance, research and management.

The post may involve participation in an out of hours rota (evenings, weekends, bank holidays) in line with NHS Medical Terms and Conditions. Participation in the on call rota is essential.

Main duties of the job

You will join a team of seven consultants covering ENT subspecialties including Head and Neck oncology.

Skills

• Meet the requirements for the GMC's Good Medical Practice
• Contribution to surgical databases

Experience

• ST8+ level experience in ENT or equivalent
• Fellowship in Rhinology
• Ability to take part in ENT general on call rota

Qualifications and Training

• Currently on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register, or due to obtain a relevant CCT/CESR(CP) within six months of interview
