Location: Tunbridge wells

Contract: Permanent

Start date: September 2026

Pay: £135 to £200 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications)

Academics are currently seeking an English Teacher to join an excellent secondary school in Tunbridge Wells. If you have a love for teaching English and have the ability to engage students in English lessons, we want to hear from you!

Role Overview

• Deliver high-quality English lessons up to KS5
• Plan and create engaging, curriculum led lessons
• Encourage an interest of reading, writing, and communication
• Monitor student progress and support academic development

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
• Excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom control
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
