English Teacher

Location: Medway, Kent
Salary: £120 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Are you a passionate and articulate English Teacher with a talent for inspiring a love of literature and language?

Do you have the skills to deliver engaging lessons that develop students' analytical thinking and creative expression?

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated English Teacher to join a high-achieving and forward-thinking school located in Medway. The selected Teacher of English will be responsible for delivering dynamic English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to become confident readers, writers, and critical thinkers.

The school is a highly successful 11-18 mixed, secondary school and sixth form with academy status in Medway, Kent, England.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Inspire a love of reading, writing, and literary analysis, encouraging students to explore a range of texts.
  • Develop students' skills in both creative and analytical writing, preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives and events.
Qualifications
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
  • Have experience teaching English at secondary school level, including Key Stage 4.
  • Possess strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English literature and language.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
