English Teacher (Full Time, Permanent)

Location: East Riding of Yorkshire (Coastal)
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: MPS1-UPS3 (£30,000 - £46,525 per annum, dependent on experience)

The Role

Vision for Education are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary academy in the East Riding of Yorkshire, located in a coastal area, to appoint a dedicated and passionate English Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, inspiring students of all abilities and supporting them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE)
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and department
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and student engagement

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education
• Ability to motivate and inspire students
• Excellent classroom management skills
