English Teacher - Middlesbrough
Location: Middlesbrough
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Competitive, Pay to Scale
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to support secondary schools in the Middlesbrough area. You will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons across KS3-KS5, inspiring students to achieve their best and develop a lifelong love of English.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning goals.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
- Contribute to students' wider development through pastoral support and extracurriculars.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum (KS3-KS5).
- Proven experience teaching English in a secondary setting.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
