Job Description

Location: Trent Acres School, Kings Bromley
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

About the Role

You'll deliver high-quality teaching to students with a range of complex needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

You'll plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with our curriculum, track student progress, and contribute to the wider school development. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you'll also help shape personalised learning and behaviour plans that support real progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons to individuals and small groups
  • Monitor, record, and report on student progress
  • Support the implementation of the School Development Plan
  • Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of pupils
  • Coordinate subject areas and assessments across key stages
  • Develop individual education and behaviour plans
  • Create stimulating, safe, and structured classroom environments
  • Ensure student safety both on- and off-site in line with risk assessments

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

About the school

Options Trent Acres is an outstanding independent specialist school; providing 141 places for pupils age 5-19.

The school operates across two sites in Staffordshire providing academic and vocational opportunities in another both a rural, 12-acre site and a newly built college setting.

The school is purpose built, modern and welcoming with a range of specialist learning areas including an indoor and outdoor riding school and outdoor gymnasium. Pupils also have the opportunity to work with our horses, donkeys, goats, alpaca and chickens. Learning outside of the classroom is a fundamental part of life at Trent Acres.
