Overview

English Teacher - Auckland, New Zealand

Start date: January 2026

Prospero Teaching is working alongside a supportive high school who are looking for an English Teacher for Term 1, January 2026.

The school is based in offers an enjoyable working environment with a strong and supportive leadership and teaching team in place.

This is a full-time, permanent role. The school are happy to consider teachers of all experience levels.

Responsibilities
  • English Teacher
  • Teaching across Grades 8-12
  • Term 1, January 2026 start contract
  • Permanent, Full-time position
  • Interviews will take place as soon as possible
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's of Education, or Post-Graduate Diploma in Education
  • Be eligible to work and teach in New Zealand
  • Received or in the process of applying for a NZQA (New Zealand Qualification Authority)
  • Received or in the process of registering for ECNZ (Education Council)
  • Be willing to process a new Certified Criminal Record Check
  • Be able to offer two professional teaching references covering the last two years
