English Supply Teacher - Worksop

Academics are currently recruiting dedicated English Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools throughout Worksop on a temporary, ongoing supply basis. Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: 140 - 195 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

As an English Supply Teacher in Worksop, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills.

You may work on both short-term and longer-term assignments, either within your English specialism or occasionally providing general cover where required. This offers a varied and rewarding teaching experience across different school environments.

This role is ideal for teachers who are passionate about English and want to inspire a love of literature and language while maintaining flexibility in their working schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  Adapt lessons to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
  Encourage confidence in reading, writing, and communication
  Support pupils preparing for assessments and GCSEs
  Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
  Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  Degree in English or a related subject
  Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
  Strong classroom management and communication skills
  Flexible and professional approach
  Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
