Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Southport to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Specialist to start ASAP. This is a full time role running through until the end of the summer term, offering consistency and stability for the right candidate.

This English role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who can deliver engaging lessons, support pupil progress, and contribute positively to the wider school environment.

The Role - English Specialist

As an English Specialist, you will:

• Teach English across Key Stages (ages dependent on experience)
• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum aligned English lessons
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet pupil needs
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Work collaboratively with the English department and wider staff team

This English role requires strong subject knowledge, confidence in the classroom, and a commitment to high quality teaching and learning.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this English Specialist role, you must:

• Hold a recognised English specialism
• Have previous UK teaching experience (essential)
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (essential)
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Be available to work full time until the end of the summer term
