English speaking shop manager

As the store manager of this e-bike shop in the heart of Amsterdam, you are the driving force of the location and the face of the business. You open the store independently, prepare the e-bikes for sales and rentals, and welcome tourists and locals with a hospitable attitude. During the day, you advise customers, supervise a colleague on Saturdays, and ensure the shop looks representative. You close the day with accurate administration and align ongoing matters directly with the owner and her right hand.

Responsibilities

• Running the e-bike shop in Amsterdam, working independently 60% of the time and collaborating with a colleague 40% of the time.
• Managing daily store sales and the new rental concept for both tourists and locals.
• Advising customers and sharing your enthusiasm directly on the shop floor.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for customers and communicating directly with the owner and her right hand.
• Ensuring a representative appearance of the store and monitoring the store inventory.
• Handling daily administration and store reporting.

Requirements

• Proven sales experience and excellent customer service skills.
• An independent leader who takes responsibility and handles professional freedom well.
• Strong affinity with e-bikes and the motivation to learn within an innovative environment.
• Fluent in English, and Dutch is a plus.
• Availability to work a schedule that runs from Tuesday to Saturday.
• Availability to spend your first working day attending an introduction at the Hoofddorp location.
