English Primary Specialist Teacher (KS2-KS4)

Salary: M1 £32,916 - M6 £45,350 + SEN Allowance £2786
High Peak School is an independent specialist school located in Derbyshire. We support pupils aged 7-16, including those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and other special educational needs.
The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic English specialist primary trained teacher to deliver the English curriculum across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, with experience of Key Stage 4 desirable.
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare and deliver high quality English lessons that engage and challenge pupils.
- Foster a positive learning environment supporting educational and personal growth.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Support pupils with ASC, ADHD and a range of additional learning needs.
- Create a structured and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, external professionals and the wider school community to support pupil outcomes.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
- Demonstrate high expectations for academic achievement and personal development.
- Participate in school activities, extracurricular programmes and professional development opportunities.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching English across KS2 and KS3.
- Desirable: experience of teaching English at KS4 and delivering Entry Level and Functional Skills qualifications.
- Desirable: a qualification in SEND education.
- Experience working with children with ASC and SEN.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to inspire and motivate children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
