English Lecturer

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a prestigious Further Education College in London to recruit an experienced English Lecturer on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking college, helping learners achieve their full potential through high-quality English teaching.

Location: WV14 6BT
Salary: Up to £40 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: September

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across a range of levels, including GCSE English and Functional Skills English.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Support learners with varying abilities to improve confidence, literacy, and achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance learner outcomes.
• Ensure all teaching meets safeguarding, equality, and quality standards.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience teaching English within a Further Education (FE) College or a similar setting.
• Excellent subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

Desirable

• PGCE, Cert Ed, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering GCSE English and Functional Skills English.
• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
