Contract:Permanent, Full Time

Salary: up to £57,400 per annum, depending on experience

Premier Foods is seeking a dedicated and experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Worksop. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, in full, and within budget, all while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and compliance.

This is a permanent position where you'll be instrumental in developing project management delivery and processes across our sites, working closely with various internal teams including the Project Director, Marketing, Sales, and Site teams.

What you'll be doing:

As an Engineering Project Manager, your expertise will be vital in planning, leading, monitoring, and evaluating projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project Leadership: Overseeing the successful delivery of capital, revenue, and improvement projects, ensuring designs and solutions meet all food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Strategic Alignment: Supporting and achieving Premier Foods' strategy and site targets, utilising best practices across the group.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establishing clear communication channels with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates, and addressing any concerns.
  • Fiscal Management: Driving the capital expenditure process, identifying priorities, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
  • Team Development: Building and managing high-performing project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and fostering a collaborative environment. This includes excelling in contractor management in terms of safety, management, standards, and delivery.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all activities comply with company policy and statutory legislation regarding ethical standards, safety, food hygiene, and contractor management. You'll actively promote a culture of safe working practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Optimising plant capability, assisting in the design and development of manufacturing process lines, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

What we're looking for:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering).
  • Proven experience within the Food Manufacturing / FMCG sector.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • The ability to understand, manage, and transact financial budgets.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A collaborative and engaging style, resilience, and perseverance.
  • Strong manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance experience.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A time-served apprenticeship in engineering.
