Job Title: Engineering Manager (Data Engineering)

Location: Manchester (Campus-MR8) - Hybrid

The Role We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the team migrating our Legacy SAP EEC system to SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP). You will be accountable for people leadership, platform health, and high-stakes delivery outcomes.

While this isn't a day-to-day coding role, you'll need the technical credibility to guide architectural decisions and mentor a high-performing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentor: Directly manage and grow a team of Back End/data engineers.

• Strategic Delivery: Partner with Product and Architecture to shape roadmaps and ensure SOX/GDPR compliance.

• Technical Excellence: Drive ownership of critical production systems, technical debt reduction, and cloud-native practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of formal Engineering Management experience.

• 10+ years in Backend Software Development.

• Proven experience leading Legacy-to-cloud migrations or major replatforming.

• Knowledge of AWS and highly regulated environments (SOX/GDPR) is a plus.
