Engineering Manager - DevOps

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and grow our DevOps practice. This is a vital "player-coach" role where you will balance expert individual contribution with team leadership. You will be directly responsible for shaping and executing the strategy for our Azure infrastructure, driving a modernization agenda that includes a shift to Kubernetes and a GitOps-based approach. As an expert contributor, you will lead by example in technical delivery while taking responsibility for the health, growth, and delivery of the team. As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will actively define and contribute to KB Tech's targets and overall vision, cooperating with other leads to create a robust, transparent, and effective organizational structure.

Responsibilities

• Player-Coach Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of DevOps Engineers while remaining directly involved in high-level technical work.
• Technical Authority: Act as the expert voice on technology decisions, specifically leading the modernization of our landscape via GitOps and Everything-as-Code (EaC).
• Platform Ownership: Assume primary accountability for the KBTS platform's productive operations, high availability, and fault tolerance on Azure.
• Enablement & Implementation: Work hands-on with Product Managers and Delivery Teams to build and maintain the systems required for continuous delivery.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain accountability for operational performance and reliability, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated early.
• Organizational Growth: As part of the Senior Leadership Team, contribute to KB Tech's overall vision and organizational structure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technical role, with demonstrated experience leading or managing technical teams.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and the role of infrastructure in a Product-led organization.
• Experience building high-performance systems utilizing Kubernetes and Cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Ability to translate technical goals into clear direction for a team, removing obstacles and managing risks.
• Bachelor's degree in a computer science-related field or equivalent work experience.
