Shape the Future of Engineering in Financial Services The Role

As a Engineering Director at Capco, you'll lead high-performing teams to deliver complex, impactful technology solutions across financial services. You'll combine deep technical knowledge with strong leadership, guiding engineers to create scalable, innovative, and client-focused products. This is a hands on leadership role that blends delivery, mentorship, and technical excellence to shape the next generation of digital platforms in banking and finance.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire cross functional engineering teams to deliver exceptional software solutions.
  • Apply and champion engineering best practices with a focus on quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to design and deliver transformative technology initiatives.
  • Drive innovation through experimentation, leveraging emerging technologies and modern engineering approaches.
  • Contribute to Capco's growing engineering community - sharing knowledge, promoting standards, and fostering collaboration.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing end to end software delivery within Financial Services organisations.
  • Strong technical background in one or more core stacks (e.g. Java, .NET, or similar) with hands on coding experience.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated success in building scalable systems and delivering complex, high value applications.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, driving efficiency and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for all audiences.
Bonus Points For
  • Experience leading multi disciplinary teams including Designers, Testers, and Product Owners.
  • Background in managing multiple delivery teams across diverse projects or geographies.
  • Involvement in pre sales or producing technical content for pitches and proposals.
  • A personal passion for developing people, technology, and process maturity.
