Salary: Total package over £65,000, with a base salary up to £55,917 depending on experience

Overview

At Zurich, our Engineer Surveyor workforce is central to our continued success. As the 'Face of Zurich' to our large and varied client base, you'll manage your own diary to service your client area, broker and develop relationships, and represent Zurich Engineering. No two days will ever be the same - you'll work in a variety of interesting environments, maintain your work/life balance, and further develop your mechanical engineering skills with a market leading inspection provider.

Responsibilities

You'll start with our industry leading bespoke training and then carry out hands on statutory inspections, providing expert opinion on a wide range of equipment to enable clients to comply with all relevant legislation and standards. After inspections, you'll report using a rugged laptop, issue electronic reports to clients, and demonstrate strong IT skills and high literacy. Excellent communication and sound engineering judgement are required.

Qualifications & Experience

You will be an experienced engineer with sound knowledge of your engineering discipline, working within a multi disciplined inspection team in your geographic area. You will report to a Team Manager, work from home, and travel reasonably to client sites. Because this role is SAFEd governed, we ideally need:

  • Completion of a time served or modern apprenticeship
  • Hands on experience in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Background in working with pressure, compressed air and steam equipment, including inspections of plant and equipment
  • Full valid UK driving licence
  • Willingness and ability to work paid overtime
