The Opportunity

MandM is evolving from a traditional project-based model to a product-led organisation, building empowered, cross-functional squads that own key customer journeys end-to-end.

We are now looking for an Engage Product Owner to lead and shape how customers interact with MandM from their very first touchpoint.

This role is focused on inspiring customers through intuitive, engaging and seamless journeys - maximising value at every stage of discovery and exploration. From content and personalisation to segmentation and experimentation, you will drive initiatives that turn curiosity into confident exploration and purchase intent.

The Role Scope

As the Engage Product Owner, you will own the end-to-end customer engagement journey. Your focus will be on improving how customers discover, interact with and connect to MandM through relevant content, intuitive journeys and personalised experiences.

You will work within a dedicated squad of designers, engineers and analysts, partnering closely with stakeholders across Digital, Trading, Marketing and Technology to deliver measurable outcomes aligned to our product strategy.

Role key responsibilities Product Vision & Strategy
  • Define and communicate a compelling vision for the Engage domain
  • Shape and own the roadmap aligned to business and product strategy
  • Balance tactical optimisation with longer-term strategic initiatives
Value & Commercial Impact
  • Prioritise initiatives that maximise customer value and commercial return
  • Identify friction points within engagement journeys and translate them into actionable improvements
  • Define clear success metrics aligned to commercial and North Star goals
  • Monitor performance and drive continuous optimisation
Discovery & Data-Driven Decisions
  • Lead hypothesis-driven discovery using qualitative and quantitative insight
  • Leverage A/B testing and experimentation to validate ideas and reduce risk
  • Interpret behavioural and engagement data to inform prioritisation
Product Leadership & Execution
  • Lead a cross-functional squad through clear vision and prioritisation
  • Own and refine the product backlog, ensuring work is outcome-focused
  • Clearly articulate customer problems and desired outcomes to designers and engineers
  • Create alignment and momentum without formal line management responsibility
  • Protect team focus and product integrity
Stakeholder & Partner Management
  • Build strong relationships across digital, trading, marketing and technology
  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear storytelling and evidence-led decisions
  • Collaborate with third party partners including CMS, customer segmentation and translation platforms to maximise capability
About You What we are looking for
  • Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within a digital or eCommerce environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with performance metrics
  • Experience optimising customer journeys, engagement or personalisation
  • Proven ability to interpret behavioural and customer data
  • Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional product teams
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across stakeholders
  • Confident communicator who can challenge constructively
  • Experience working in Agile environments
