Energy Manager - public sector organisation, Northampton. This is a full-time, temporary role offering a mix of office and home working.

Hybrid working available

£25 per hour (Inside IR35)

Location: Northampton

Working pattern

• Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (37 hours per week)
• Based at One Angel Square and Westbridge
• Up to 3 days per week working from home, depending on meetings and business needs

About the role

You will be responsible for managing energy performance across a portfolio of properties, helping to reduce consumption, improve efficiency and support sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitoring and analysing energy usage across sites
• Identifying cost-saving and energy efficiency opportunities
• Supporting carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives
• Managing energy data, reporting and compliance
• Working with contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver improvements
• Supporting energy-related projects across the estate

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Energy Manager or similar role
• Strong knowledge of energy management and compliance
• Experience working across multiple sites or estates
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
