Job Description
Job Opening: Energy Analyst

A global Japanese trading company is recruiting an Energy Analyst for their London office. In this role, you will support OCTG department managers in managing contracts and relationships with long-term customers, as well as support sales, business operations, logistics, and contract management.

Key Qualifications: Strong Excel skills, analytical abilities, effective communication, and experience in contract management within the energy sector.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage contract execution and development activities
  2. Support development of GFA strategy, including SCM, Energy Transition, and digital initiatives
  3. Assist in contract creation, execution, and revision procedures
  4. Maintain communication with GFA management, SCM sites, and members
  5. Develop and enhance digital tools
  6. Prepare quarterly contract analysis and dashboards
  7. Support pre-negotiations and strategic preparations
  8. Attend meetings, record key points, and follow up on actions
  9. Analyze market data and support new market and customer development
  10. Respond to customer inquiries and manage orders
  11. Ensure internal controls for business processes
  12. Execute contracts, orders, and shipments using SAP, iTIMS, and related documents
  13. Perform additional tasks as assigned
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience in the energy industry (Oil & Gas)
  • Understanding of business processes and IT systems
  • Procurement and logistics experience
  • International business experience
  • Experience in client meetings (online or face-to-face)
  • Knowledge of QAQC, HSSE, risk management, and legal considerations
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle complex tasks under deadlines
  • Back-office skills: SAP, Excel, Word, basic accounting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Steel Industry
  • Supply Chain Management experience
  • Interest in digital work and energy transition
  • Basic accounting knowledge
