Employment Solicitor (Remote) needed, £23.55ph PAYE - Reference: RQ
We are looking for an employment Solicitor.
This role may be remote; we will discuss this with suitable candidates.
Responsibilities:- Attend and advise committees, sub-committees, and panels of the Council as instructed by the Director of Governance and Legal.
- Provide legal advice to Council Members, Officers, and related bodies as directed.
- Implement or facilitate the implementation of Council decisions related to legal matters.
- Conduct litigation on behalf of the Council, acting as advocate in courts, inquiries, hearings, and tribunals.
- Negotiate and draft contracts, agreements, and governance instruments.
- Prepare legal documents and undertake statutory or administrative tasks as required.
- Handle disputes and complaints.
- Stay updated on legal developments and advise the Council accordingly.
- Assist in providing comprehensive legal services to the Council.
- Support senior staff and assist junior staff with legal issues.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
