Our client, a highly respected and expanding law firm, is seeking an Employment Solicitor (0-3 or 3-6 years' PQE) to join their dynamic Chelmsford team. The Role: Key Responsibilities- Advise clients across diverse sectors: education, financial services, construction, transport, private client/agriculture, charities, and public sector
- Handle a broad range of employment law matters including:
- General employment issues (e.g. maternity rights, contractual matters)
- Drafting service agreements, contracts, staff handbooks, and employment policies
- Transactional corporate support
- Wrongful and unfair dismissal, redundancy, restructuring, TUPE
- Restrictive covenant enforcement/defence, boardroom disputes, severance claims
- Employment litigation (tribunal work), discrimination, trade union work for employers
- Professional discipline and conduct, including fitness to practise panels
- Engage in business development: attend networking events, support on tenders/pitches, draft articles for sector publications
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 0-3 or 3-6 years' PQE in employment law
- Excellent training seat or PQE at a reputable regional, national, or city firm
- Strong technical skills in employment law, policy drafting, and litigation
- Commercial and analytical thinking to deliver practical, tailored advice
- Flexible, proactive approach to meet client deadlines and maintain regular communication
- Interest in business development and client relationship building
- Knowledge of the Essex/London market is advantageous
- Competitive salary: £46,000-£65,000 (DOE)
