This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Employment Partner / Senior Employment Solicitor to step into a strategic leadership role with real influence over the direction and success of the department.

The OpportunityAs Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in driving the continued growth and success of the Employment offering. You'll lead from the front-combining technical excellence with commercial acumen-while mentoring a talented team and strengthening an already impressive client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a successful Employment Law team
• Drive business development strategy and identify new revenue streams
• Maintain and grow strong client relationships across a varied client base
• Provide expert advice on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Shape the strategic direction of the department in line with firm-wide objectives
• Supervise, mentor, and inspire junior and senior lawyers

About You

• Senior Employment Solicitor with extensive experience (Partner / Legal Director level)
• Proven track record in team leadership and departmental growth
• Strong commercial awareness and business development capability
• Expertise across complex employment law matters
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Based in Manchester or open to relocation
