Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Manager on behalf of our client. This is a key role for a confident, knowledgeable ER professional with strong experience who can operate effectively in a complex, highly regulated environment and support managers through challenging people matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, attendance, capability, and performance, ensuring compliance with policies and employment legislation
  • Provide expert ER advice and guidance to managers and senior leaders across the organisation
  • Support organisational change activity, including restructures, consultations and workforce change programmes
  • Coach and develop managers to apply policies consistently and confidently, strengthening ER capability across the organisation
  • Ensure robust governance, accurate documentation and adherence to frameworks, policies and best practice
  • Use ER data and trends to inform decisions, manage risk and support continuous improvement in people management
Skills & Experience Required
  • Significant experience in an Employee Relations or HR role within the NHS or wider public sector
  • Strong working knowledge of policies, procedures and best practice, including handling complex and high risk ER cases
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and confidence providing independent, pragmatic advice
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence managers at all levels
  • Highly organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) preferred
