We are working with a world leader in the FMCG sector who are looking for an Emergency Response / BHV Lead on a contract (ZZP) basis.
Position Overview
We are seeking a certified BHV (bedrijfshulpverlening) Lead to oversee and coordinate emergency response and safety initiatives for our offices in Rotterdam. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Dutch safety legislation, conducting risk assessments, and managing safety-related projects. The position offers flexibility, ideally requiring a commitment of three days per week, with renewable contracts and an anticipated duration of two years (subject to discussion).
Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Response Leadership: Serve as the officially certified BHV Lead, acting as the primary point of contact for all emergency situations within the Rotterdam offices.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to Dutch workplace safety regulations, including staying current with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct and document safety risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Project Management: Manage safety-related projects, including the implementation of new procedures, training programs, and emergency drills.
- Communication: Liaise with various internal teams and external services, including communication, management, and workplace services, to promote a safe and compliant work environment.
- Training and Awareness: Organize and deliver BHV training sessions and safety briefings for employees.
- Administration: Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, risk assessments, and training activities. Utilize basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certification: Officially certified as a BHV Lead for company emergency response.
- Experience: Minimum relevant experience in workplace safety, including knowledge of Dutch safety legislation, risk assessments, and project management.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexibly, ideally three days per week based in Rotterdam.
Contract Details
- Employment Type: Flexible contract, renewable, with an initial term of two years (subject to negotiation).
