Emergency Call Handler - Evenings & Weekend (Part Time)

We're looking for a calm, empathetic voice to provide support to vulnerable callers during our evening and weekend coverage. This role is ideal for students and those needing flexible hours.

Key Details

• Hours: 18 hours per week (3 six hour shifts)
• Shift windows: 16:00-23:00 weekdays; 06:00-23:00 weekends; rota released 4 weeks in advance
• Salary: £11,990.16 per annum (£12.81 per hour)
• Location: Hybrid - Norwich (1 day working from home)
• Training: 3 weeks full time paid (Mon Fri 09:30-17:00, 35 h per week) - must attend all sessions
• Start: 1 September 2026 (subject to pre employment screening)
• Internet requirement: 5 Mbps upload, 15 Mbps download

Responsibilities

Arrange help for vulnerable clients when they call. Provide reassurance, action accidental or test calls, and contact emergency services as appropriate. Maintain a calm, empathetic approach in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a call centre environment dealing with customers, including remote work
• Genuine desire to help the community, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Reliable with a good overall education level
• Resilience and ability to meet personal targets while delivering excellent customer service
