Electrician

Our client, a leading firm in the Transmission and Distribution (T & D) sector, is currently seeking an Approved Electrician to join their team on a contract basis. This role is focused on the delivery of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of electrical containment systems including tray, ladder, basket, and conduit
• Pulling and dressing LV control, communication, and DC power cables
• Terminating DC battery cables and associated equipment
• Glanding and terminating small power and control cables
• Reading and working from electrical drawings and cable schedules
• Supporting pre-commissioning activities
• Identifying and reporting installation issues and non-conformances
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with site quality and safety requirements

Job Requirements:

• Experience as an Electrician or Electrical Technician on industrial, renewable energy, power generation, or utility projects
• Strong containment installation skills
• Experience pulling and dressing cables within large-scale electrical installations
• Proven experience terminating DC cables
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Experience working safely within construction environments

Qualifications:

• ECS/JIB Gold Card preferred
• Relevant electrical qualifications (Level 3 or equivalent)
• IPAF desirable
• SSSTS desirable but not essential
• First Aid at Work desirable
