Electrician - Weekend

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the Electrical Foreman, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated self starter, dependable and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The candidate will have excellent attention to detail and good communication skills. This position requires flexibility to work weekend shift.

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding, root cause analysis and repairs on machinery and plant to required standard.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Carry out inspections, testing, and safety checks in line with regulations.
• Support installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modification projects where required.
• Work on AC/DC motors, control circuits, sensors, drives, PLC systems, and LV/HV installations.
• Cable sizing, installation, glanding, and terminations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports (manual and computer systems), while maintaining departmental KPIs.
• Support continuous improvement and assist in training apprentices.
• Liaise with operators, supervisors, and colleagues to complete work effectively.
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping.

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience

• Qualified electrician with industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong fault finding ability on automated equipment advantageous.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and machine documentation to support fault finding, self directed learning, and development of machine knowledge and maintenance competency.
• Competent with Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and CAFM systems.
• Experience in testing, inspection, and compliance.
• PLC/CNC/robotics advantageous.
• Strong safety awareness, experience working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must be available to work weekends 06:30am - 18:30pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
