Electrical Technician

Location: City of London

Type: Temporary

Rate: Up to £18.50 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm

We are urgently seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to provide a highly professional, customer-focused service for our static client based in London.

Duties

1. Participate in safety visits and rectify any safety observations made.
2. Perform electrical isolations of circuits, equipment, and plant for themselves and others.
3. Ensure PPM records and paperwork are updated and correctly filed in the site logbooks. Attend reactive tasks and emergency breakdowns as required.
4. Ensure all PPMs and reactive works are completed within the specified SLA.
5. Work from mechanical/electrical schematics, demonstrating understanding.
6. Coordinate electrical shutdowns and reinstatement of services following power loss.
7. Supervise sub-contracted works.
8. Proficient in using proprietary computer systems, including BMS systems, automatic controls, email, Word, Excel, etc., to meet contract requirements.

Qualifications and Required Experience

• Electrical City and Guilds qualifications at least GNVQ/GSVQ level II.
• 17th or 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
• City & Guilds Electrical Testing & Inspection (or equivalent).
• City & Guilds Electrical Installation BS 7671 (or equivalent).
• City & Guilds Building Services Accreditation (or equivalent).
• Emergency First Aid certification.
• Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
