Electrical Engineer

MTM Engineering has an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our rapidly expanding team as an Electrical Engineer.

The successful candidate will be part of the MTM Engineering Team working closely with Design, Estimating, and Operations, involved in large-scale project delivery from conception to handover. The role will be based in our office in Armagh.

• Work directly with clients and project managers to review technical specifications and offer the best solutions.
• Prepare detailed electrical designs and drawings for bespoke electrical containment solutions, cable route design, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and design solutions where necessary to accommodate other services/systems.
• Extract measurements from BIM models (Revit/Navisworks).
• Use BIM modelling software to review site requirements and identify issues.
• Develop and review electrical designs with the design team and clients for the full scope of works on various projects.
• Prepare plans, schedules, cost estimates, and bid documents to support tender packages and submissions, assessing technical data for compliance with contract specifications and resolving issues.
• Complete technical submittals, equipment registers, and trackers.
• Issue and track technical submittal documents to obtain material approvals.
• Perform continuous design and installation quality checks and control.
• Uphold electrical design standards within the organization.
• Set up standards and templates to streamline processes.

• Experience desirable in HV, MV, and LV protection circuits, grid connections, HV and LV switchgear, substations.
• Proactive and methodically minded.
• Understanding of tendering, technical submittals, and procurement.
