Location: Central London (On site 3 days per week)

Salary/Rate: £492/Day Inside IR35

Company Introduction:
We are looking for a skilled engineer to become part of a specialist team dedicated to supporting the technology environment behind electronic trading.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives:

• In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and improving the infrastructure that drives electronic trading systems.
• You'll work closely with colleagues in infrastructure, development, and the business to provide robust solutions, often in time-sensitive situations.
• Designing, deploying, and managing the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) across complex, distributed platforms.
• Taking ownership of Middleware messaging environments, particularly Solace, ensuring best-practice usage, monitoring, and optimisation.
• Using advanced monitoring tools (eg, Corvil, ITRS Geneos) to guarantee visibility of systems and timely escalation of issues.
• Leading the onboarding of new applications, including requirements around connectivity, networking, infrastructure, and monitoring.
• Building and maintaining tools and pipelines to support data analysis, dashboarding, and database engineering.
• Working with global teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of low-latency trading infrastructure.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Deep technical expertise with the Elastic Stack, including life cycle management, performance tuning, and API-driven integrations.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, containerisation, networking, and cloud-native observability practices.
• Hands-on experience with automation and Scripting (Python, Shell, SQL, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of trading environments, connectivity, and financial protocols (FIX, Market Data, Order Entry).
• Background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code technologies (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Experience with low-latency messaging systems such as Solace, 29West, or Tibco.
• Familiarity with monitoring and telemetry platforms such as Corvil or Pico.
• Knowledge of observability solutions like ITRS Geneos integrated with Elastic Stack.
• Experience deploying and supporting machine-learning models in production environments.
